Gut reaction, this quote actually makes me a little angry. Of course it shouldn't be the case - we should always judge people by what is inside. Life just doesn't work that way though - you cannot avoid it. Human nature dictates that we make judgements about a person from the way they look within a second or two. What you can do though is try to overcome those judgements in the seconds that follow.
